The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) is the world?s most distinguished ?Friend of the Poor.? As a volunteer organization helping the needy, we are internationally acknowledged experts, and have been since the mid-19^th century. It is in this capacity that we ask of  you today  your substantial support in the expansion of our organization.

?Our special mission is to help the poor,? said Joe Flannigan, National President of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, in announcing the collaboration with Catholic Charities USA earlier this year. ?We help them by providing food, clothing, and shelter, and by enabling them to provide those necessities for themselves. 
We also help by trying to remove the obstacles that stand in their way, the things that make it difficult for them to get by.?
